For music lovers it was back to Pasadena for yet another chill ass weekend of food, drinks and of course a great musical lineup. Arroyo Seco Weekend delivered an array of great music for fans to enjoy while sipping on signature cocktails and craft beers; it was also a perfect weekend for laying out a blanket and devouring delicious eats from some of the award-winning restaurants of the L.A. and Pasadena areas.

It was again the perfect atmosphere, alongside the Rose Bowl stadium, people came together to listen to so many great bands like The Milk Carton Kids, Pretenders, Jack White, and Neil Young. A friendly crowd everywhere you walk and the smell of great food, what else can make an incredible weekend? Oh yeah, Wine! And maybe more highlighted performances to get your weekend going.

On the second day of Arroyo Seco Weekend fans were welcomed back with acts like Violent Femmes playing hits like "Blister in the Sun"(hell yeah!), and amazing musical tunes from The Revolution, the band of the legendary music artist/songwriter Prince. (Yaaassss!)

Speaking of Prince, we heard a shout out to him from Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles, the band thanked Prince for the wonderful gift of "Manic Monday", which they performed over at the Sycamore stage. The Bangles were another huge treat for festival goers. The crowd was excited to hear "Eternal Flame" (I was definitely singing at the top of my lungs), but gave an even huger response the second everyone heard "Walk like an Egyptian".

As we headed over to The Oaks, a huge audience was already enjoying the beautiful voice of Alanis Morissette, who looked and sounded amazing. There was a chill, yet exciting vibe going through the audience as she wowed us and had everyone singing along to those 90's hits such as "Head over Feet", "Hand in Pocket" and "Ironic". Did we mention how great Alanis looked on stage? With great energy and an everlasting smile on her face, she definitely made our weekend all the more better; and as if everyone wasn't already loving the shit outta her, she really had the crowds full on attention when she finally broke out with "You Oughta Know". Hell yeah Alanis! You go girl!

The fun didn't end there, it only grew as we danced along to band Los Lobos and Rocked along with Capital Cities who covered one of my personal favorites "Nothing Compares 2 U", (Written by Prince and later made famous by Sinead O'Connor). Later in the evening the crowd was being hypnotized by the sounds of Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters. We were also taken back to a simpler time with love songs from Aaron Neville.

While so many great names filled our ears with their musical talent, there is no doubt that Kings of Leon took it home. They definitely did not disappoint the crowd with hits like "The End", "Use Somebody" and ending the show with "Sex On Fire". This was most definitely the perfect end to an absolutely amazing weekend. When so many people leave with smiles on their faces, you know something was done right. In this case the entire weekend was done right. To Goldenvoice, thank you for the great time and good vibes. Arroyo Seco, See you next year!
